Natural Gift Wrap for the Family

The Shade Valley Council of Floral Arts will be at the Pomeroy Library on November 9th at 5:00 PM with natural materials to decorate gift packages for the holidays. Participants are encouraged to bring any supplies they may have from home such as twine and ribbon, as well as natural materials such as pinecones, cloves, etc. This event is designed with the whole family in mind! Parents and caregivers are encouraged to come with their children and teens to get festive for the season with natural gift wrappings.

Help us make our next blood drive a success! The Red Cross will be at the Pomeroy Library on November 4th from 12:00 PM - 5:30 PM. We encourage you to register ahead of time, to ensure a quick appointment. Or, walk-ins are always welcome!

Lunar Phases: Astrology Workshop

Susan Zano will be in the Riverview Room to host an astrology workshop, focused on lunar phases. Participants should come prepared with information about their time of birth and will discover the moon phase of their birthdate.  Learn about lunar phases and the famous people who share your sign.

Our newest book club is for fantasy and science fiction lovers! "Enchanted Reads" is the name of this new book discussion group. We'll meet on the third Wednesday of each month at 5:00 PM. This group will alternate meeting at the Pomeroy Library and the Racine Library, so be sure to check the details of each meeting! This will be a trial for a "traveling" book group!

The end of the growing season is a great time to address gardening maintenance. Learn which tools are most useful, about covering beds, and more!

Bring your little ones to the library for a fun and festive (merry-not-scary!) celebration. We'll have stations for photos, games, cookie decorating, and more! Kids can wear their costumes and parade around the library for trick-or-treat. All ages welcome!
