Do you LOVE love? Are you a hopeless romantic?  This new book club is for readers who don't mind a bit of spice. We'll meet at the Pomeroy Library at 5:30 on the third Thursday of each month to discuss a romance.

February 3rd is "Take Your Child to the Library Day" and we are celebrating at the Pomeroy Library with a special Storytime, activity stations, games, and more. Participants may also decorate their own library book tote bag and take home a COSI Learning Lunchbox, and learn all about water, while supplies last! 

Sign up for a library card! Please bring photo IDs for adults signing up for a card, and official identification for children signing up, such as a social security card or birth certificate. 

Cookies & Canvas: Poppies

Learn painting techniques while you create your own work of art at the library! Relax an enjoy cookies while you paint. We'll create a field of poppies this month, just in time to give as a Valentine (or keep for yourself!).

Please note, this event is for adults. There will be a Family Craft Night later in the month, for all ages!

All supplies will be provided, but space and supplies are limited, therefore registration is required.

Spring Storytime @ Pomeroy

Storytime returns on January 8th! This session of Storytime will continue through to the last week of April, ending on 4/25/2024.

Attend one of the Storytime sessions at each of our four library locations! We'll read books and provide crafts to go along with the stories. The following is the schedule:

Monday - Racine Library at 1:00

Tuesday - Eastern Library at 1:00

Wednesday - Pomeroy Library at 1:00

Thursday - Middleport Library at 1:00

All ages are welcome!

A representative from the Southern Ohio Hope Center will be at the Pomeroy Library on Wednesday, February 14th from 3:00 - 5:00 PM distributing NARCAN.

Join the Inspirational Book Club to read and discuss titles from the library's Inspirational Fiction collection. The group reads one book per month and meets on the fourth Friday of each month to discuss the title. The meeting will be held in the Riverview Room at the Pomeroy Library at 10:30 AM.

Prepare for the 2024 growing season with tips and tricks from a gardening expert! She'll touch on creating habitats for pollinators as well. Make your plans during the dark of winter to look forward to a successful garden!

Learn how different environments support plants and animals with the Sprouts, a junior gardening club, led by the Shade Valley Council of Floral Arts. Children of all ages are encouraged to bring either stuffed animals or other animal figures from home to place in dioramas of various habitats at the Pomeroy Library. Habitats provide animals with shelter, food and water. Join the hands-on activities to learn which animals belong in various environments in our diverse world.
