Rick Werner and Jessica Wolf will host a cooking class at the Pomeroy Library on Saturday, October 12th at 2:00 PM! Learn to make (and sample) soups, salad, and bread.

Sound Bath with The Nook

Come to the Pomeroy Library for a relaxing evening of deep sound vibrations made by soothing sound bowls and gongs. Decompress as you are bathed in special tons and frequencies. Participants may have many positive experiences as a result of the sound bath, including reduced anxiety, better sleep, improved mood, mind-body connection, and even pain relief. 

The Nook will provide this experience at no cost to participants. This event is for adults and does not require registration. 

 

 

Free Youth Eye Exams

Vision to Learn, the Ohio Optometric Foundation, and Foundation for Appalachian Ohio will bring no-cost youth eye exams and glasses to Meigs County! Must be between the ages of 4 - 18 years old to be eligible for this program.

The Vision Van will be at the Pomeroy Library on August 20th from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM. 

Additionally, if a child has a current prescription and just needs a replacement pair of glasses or a back-up pair they may participate in the "Glasses Only" program. No appointment is needed, and they may pick out a frame in the van.

Stop by the Pomeroy Library to meet Les Hayman, author of "Hold My Beer I think Jesus Needs Me". Copies of the book will be available for purchase. Meet and greet the author from 3:00 - 5:00 PM on August 5th.
